Our Story

Redeemed was founded in 2001 by the Lord through Pastor Michael and his immediate family.

As God gave him the vision, this church was developed in Waldorf, Maryland with a host of family and close friends who came to support the vision. To give feet to its mission to love God and people, obey God’s Word, hate sin, and give freely, Redeemed is involved in a number of local, national and world-wide ministry activities such as spreading the gospel nationally, supporting a child in Uganda, and participating in local missions like clothing the needy and helping the disadvantaged.Redeemed purchased property several years ago with the purpose of building a worship center and community based building. A handful of people were used by God to help purchase the property until a facility is built and renaming of the property will occur. This spacious property is near the northern border of Charles County as you approach Route 210 and is approximately 7.5 acres.

Today, we have fed countless families, supported homeless, ministered to numerous inmates, counseled marriages, taught thousands, trained ministry leaders, equipped God’s people, and been involved in local government and education. Redeemed continues to strive for the furtherance of the gospel in the earth through the use of mass and social media as well as minister in Charles County as a local church and light to many as we lift up the name of Christ. We believe our mission is found in Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me for He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” Our leadership recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
